When you go to list a home for sale, sometimes you find yourself tackling new unexpected obstacles that could stop a home from selling. It could be outdated wallpaper, tiles on the master bedroom ceiling, or abandoned cats in the case of my latest listing.
The previous renters of the home left nine outside cats to fend for themselves when they moved out. The owner of the property stepped in and began feeding them, but was unsuccessful in finding homes for them.
Like many of you, I have a soft spot for animals. I almost got hit by a car once when I stopped to move a turtle out from the middle of a road! So I knew when I first saw these cats, that they would not be going to animal control. How adorable are these kittens?
A friend told me about Winging Cat Shelter, a local no kill shelter, so I contacted them to see if they had room to take the cats in. The shelter agreed to take some of them in! The new home buyer is taking two of them and the new home buyer's agent is taking some in as well! I am so grateful! Thanks everyone! Thanks Winging Cat Shelter! I will be donating some of the proceeds of the home sale to you!
Another house sold for Dottie Toney and Company and a home found for some very special cat(s).
